Jones Day partners work in Kenya for Lawyers Without Borders Rule-of-Law project

Global law firm Jones Day's Pittsburgh partner Mike Ginsberg and Columbus partner Chad Readler traveled to Nairobi this month to participate in an eight day Lawyers Without Borders (LWOB) program focused on improving the trial skills of Kenyan prosecutors and private practitioners who litigate cases involving victims of gender violence. Four U.S. federal judges were among the international team of volunteers, which worked closely with United States Justice and State Department officials and met with U.S. Ambassador Scott Gration in Nairobi.

Silicon Valley Office Receives 2011 Service Award from the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California

On April 9, at the 2011 Northern District Judicial Conference in Monterey, California, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California awarded the Silicon Valley Office with its annual Service Award in recognition of the longstanding support and sponsorship the Office has provided to the Northern District’s Annual High School Law Day Program.

Roy Atwood to receive outstanding volunteer award at LaunchAbility's Willie Nelson Gala

Roy Atwood, a partner in the Dallas Office of global law firm Jones Day, will be honored with LaunchAbility's Milton P. Levy Outstanding Volunteer Award at a Willie Nelson benefit concert April 26.
