United Way of Metropolitan Dallas recognizes Jones Day Dallas for outstanding campaign growth

Dallas – The United Way of Metropolitan Dallas recognized Jones Day for the largest 2009 workplace campaign increase in the law firm industry at the agency's annual Heroes of Hope event.

Clint McDonnough, Dallas office managing partner for Ernst & Young LLP and 2009 campaign chairman, said: "We are proud to recognize the incredible generosity of individual and corporate donors this year who have helped us meet our ambitious goal, despite a challenging economic climate.  Because of their efforts, United Way will be able to meet an increased need and move forward with its exciting new vision."

A standout in employee participation, Jones Day saw more than a 50% increase of Leadership Givers in their workplace campaign last year.  The lawyers and staff of the Firm donated more than $170,000, making Jones Day one of the largest law firm contributors in Dallas.

"I am proud that our lawyers and staff heeded the call to help those less fortunate in these difficult times.  Jones Day continues to step up when it comes to giving back to our community," said George Manning, Partner-in-Charge of Jones Day's Dallas Office.
