The Pro Bono Publico Award is in recognition of Joe Patiño's pro bono legal representation to indigent immigrant victims of human and civil rights violations.

To meet the urgent need for increased funding for legal services, the D.C. Access to Justice Commission launched the Raising the Bar in D.C. Campaign in December 2010. The Campaign's goal is to substantially increase financial support to the District's legal services community by establishing benchmarks for law firm giving. In 2011, 23 firms collectively donated $3M for DC-area legal service organizations, and Jones Day was one of them.
March 2012
On March 22, 2012, the Los Angeles Center for Law and Justice hosted its 39th Annual Gala with Jones Day's Jason Liang receiving an Excellence in Community Service Award in connection with work on behalf of domestic violence victims.

On March 14, the San Francisco Bar Association awarded the Outstanding Volunteer in Public Service Certificate to Caroline Mitchell, Jones Day San Francisco. This award goes to the top 15 percent of volunteers for the Bar.

The United Way of Metropolitan Dallas recognized Jones Day for its accomplishments in the 2011 United Way Workplace Campaign at the annual Heroes of Hope event on February 28. The United Way honored Jones Day with the Outstanding Tocqueville Campaign Award, recognizing the overall number of Tocqueville givers and increase in Tocqueville giving.

The Pro Bono and Community Work Recognition Program facilitates the development of sustainable volunteerism of solicitors. Debuted in 2010, the Program has successfully raised public awareness of the pro bono and community work contributed by solicitors.
