For several years, through a partnership with the Truancy Intervention Project (TIP), volunteer attorneys from the Jones Day Atlanta office have represented public school students who are at risk of dropping out of school.

On June 25, 2010, Federal Circuit community attorneys were recognized as Chief Judge Randall R. Rader, United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and Chief Judge William P. Greene, United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims expressed their appreciation for pro bono services.

The Northern District of Illinois and the Federal Bar Association will present the award to Paula Render, who will accept the award on behalf of the Jones Day team, on May 26, 2010.
